Interview with the CEO of 2BePart, the app for separated families

2BePart is a mobile application designed for separated or divorced families who want to improve communication and the organization of their children's lives. José Antonio Pérez, co-founder and CEO of the startup, presents us with 2BePart, one of the winners of InsurChallenge Legaltech, in the new edition of Santalucía Impulsa.The app allows you to have all the Information needed for child care in a simplified way. It allows you to add, synchronize and modify everything related to your children's lives, at any time and from anywhere: calendars, events, appointments, finances, etc. It's about ensuring the interests of the child, facilitating coordination with the former partner, without misunderstandings or arguments, leaving aside problems. The application is available for free download on Android and iPhone and it has multiple functions:

• Calendar of Events: A shared, online program with several functions to edit and synchronize all information relevant to child care.
• Finance and Expenses: To manage expenses related to children in the simplest way. Exclusive tools for managing custody and shared expenses.
• My Family: It allows you to invite other family members to use the app and help care for the child. You can customize what information each member has access to.
• Constant Information: Information about the vaccines the child needs, their allergies, blood type, current clothing size, etc.
• Control of belongings: 2BePart helps to organize and keep track of the clothes, toys and other objects that children carry from home from one parent to another to avoid forgetfulness and recover their belongings whenever they return home.

What is 2BePart and what is it for?

What was the origin of 2BePart?

I am a separated father and since so many separated families had situations and misunderstandings in my daily life as a separated parent that I thought technology should help solve, we started developing the app and until today.

What reasons would you give a potential customer to use 2BePart?

2BePart is an app that improves communication with your ex-partner, avoids unnecessary friction and allows you to better organize yourself as a separated or divorced person.

If you had to define 2BePart with a word or phrase, what would it be?

Thinking about who matters most.

What has been the biggest challenge you have had to face?

To be able to make both parties see that the use of the app is for the benefit of the children and overcome the rejection of sharing an app with the one who is now your ex.

Why did you decide to participate in the Santalucía Impulsa acceleration program? What does it mean for you as an entrepreneur?

I decided to participate because I share Santalucía's philosophy of caring about improving people's lives. As an entrepreneur, surrounding myself with experienced professionals and mentors is undoubtedly a privilege and working with Santalucía is a challenge that helps us to move forward and have a new vision of the business.
