Information and help for SMEs, freelancers and startups
We are aware that the situation we are experiencing is having a very negative impact on all types of companies and organizations, especially for freelancers, startups and small and medium-sized companies. For this reason, KPMG Impulses has created a unique space, an information channel to share the knowledge of its team of professionals in order to help these companies to face the situation with the least possible impact, both on their activities and with their employees, clients or collaborators. The channel #teayudamos provides these companies and organizations with up-to-date information of relevance and utility, which includes a set of useful content, guides, tools and tips that they can apply to the management of their activities. In addition, it is responsible for monitoring in real time the different support and assistance measures by the Government and the Administration, transforming them into practical and accessible explanatory texts. KPMG Impulsa is an organization that has always looked after the interests of SMEs, startups, freelancers and entrepreneurs, offering them a comprehensive service of accounting management, taxes, commercial services and personnel management payroll. The pillars around which they articulate their work are four: professionalism, personalized attention, scanning and security. Its commitment is to offer a complete, close and easy service, providing clear and visible data, thus achieving customer trust.
In accordance with these characteristics, KPMG Impulsa has decided to implement this initiative to provide all possible information and help regarding COVID-19, to assist in the proper management of the business and employees. Thus, we can identify six categories, among which are:
1. Tips for teleworking
Taking into account the very complicated situation, one of the first measures that the Government implemented was the application of teleworking, that is, working from home, which can give us doubts about what are the free and secure tools that we can use to work and avoid possible threats to the security of our information.
2. Fiscal measures and financial aid
It includes in a timely manner the economic measures adopted by the Government or the Administration in terms of taxation and lines of funding for SMEs, the self-employed and social entities. Thus, we will find tax moratoriums, transitional financial support measures, liquidity provision measures, tax deferral measures, provisional guidance for requesting a tax deferment or lines of ICO guarantees for SMEs and the self-employed.
3. Labor and Social Security Measures
Section dedicated to the provisions adopted by the Government relating to the labor regulation of the workforce and social contributions. It includes public health measures, labor measures to support these companies, workplace and Social Security measures, guidance for companies in the workplace, work support measures or measures for work-life balance.
4. Measures for particularly affected sectors
Undoubtedly, there have been certain sectors in the market that have been significantly more affected than the others. In this regard, this section includes information on financial aid for the tourism sector, a guide to good practices for establishments in the commercial sector and a section for frequently asked questions and answers about commerce.
5. Guide for applying an ERTE
Since many companies have had their work activities paralyzed, they have been forced to carry out a ERTE, a file for the regulation of temporary employment for a cause of force majeure. For this reason, KPMG Impulsa offers us a section that explains the term, as well as a guide for the application of an ERTE that will allow us to know its characteristics and requirements, the procedure for action and a series of practical forms for its implementation.
6. Other subjects of interest
It is a matter of addressing different issues that, in the current environment, may be of interest to SMEs, the self-employed and social entities, and which, due to their importance, must be taken into consideration in the development of their activities. This is the Help and Support Plan that KPMG Impulsa addresses to SMEs, the self-employed and social entities through its information channel to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19.
Virtual session to answer questions about Government measures
In addition, given the current situation, in which the Government has been approving several measures to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on the economy, and more specifically in the segment of SMEs and the self-employed, have organized a virtual session Thursday, April 2 at 11:30 a.m. Francisco José Carramolino, David González and José Manuel Carro, from KPMG Abogados, will help to better understand the measures from a practical and useful perspective and will answer any questions that may arise in this regard.
