The 5 startups that will participate in the 2nd Edition of Santalucía IMPULSA have been selected. Get to know them!

The leading family protection insurer, Santa Lucía, has selected the 5 startups that will be accelerated in your entrepreneurship program Santalucía IMPULSA. The decision was taken by an expert jury, made up of the directors of the most representative areas of Santa Lucía.In this second edition, a total of 250 startups submitted applications, of which only 10 were selected by the company. Of those 10, the jury chose the 5 that will be accelerated in this second edition of the program. Among those chosen, projects on digital protection or risk mutualization stand out.Over the next 5 months, the selected startups will receive specialized training and individual mentoringl with experts who will help them to develop their business. In the words of Ángel Uzquiza, Director of Innovation at Santa Lucía: “Our priority is to carry out exhaustive monitoring and help them throughout the acceleration process, but, in addition, we believe that the selected projects will have many possibilities of establishing alliances with the SANTALUCÍA Group, as well as the possibility of obtaining investment when the program ends.”

  • Covered: easy, transparent, community, social and participatory mobile or tablet insurance. Covered is a risk pooling program outside the insurance sector, a platform for managing a community of users that is committed to transparent and independent community insurance.
  • Defense: offers a protection package for the Digital Identity of any natural or legal person. Based on a patented algorithm, the company rates the value of the client's different social profiles -Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twich-, their websites and blogs, their email accounts or even their video game accounts -LoL, WoW, CS-, based on a multitude of metrics. But this year, startups will not be alone, they will be joined by the two best projects in the intra-entrepreneurship program, through which the insurance group offers its employees the possibility to develop projects that generate new business models. These projects are:

  • Brainshare: The agile application based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning that provides effective answers to questions that “steal” our effective working time.
  • Return Plus: The solution that seeks to give away, reward or reward those customers who have not used home care coverage.

These projects have been selected from a total of 10 participants, and they will not only form part of acceleration program Santalucía IMPULSA, in addition, they will carry out the Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Startup Acceleration of Santa Lucía.In the words of one of the winning entrepreneurs: “We are very grateful that Santa Lucía you have chosen our project and we can do this master's degree, since for us it is an excellent opportunity to launch our idea.
