The 6th edition of Santalucía Impulsa Empleados begins with 21 new entrepreneurs

On February 6, the official opening of the new edition of Santalucía Impulses Employees, the company's entrepreneurship program that discovers new professional talent every year. We'll tell you all the details.

After the success of the last edition, which ended with the trip to the innovative ecosystem of Malaga with the winning team, a new selection, deliberation and interview process was opened. 103 candidates who signed up for the tests, the company's Innovation and Talent teams finally selected a total of 21 companions and companions who will compete in this new call. As the teams develop their projects to respond to the challenges posed to them, each of the solutions will be validated. The best will have access to the second phase of acceleration, where they will be able to build and validate the prototype. The program will provide entrepreneurs with a unique immersion and learning in agile innovation methodologies, always accompanied by the best experts. And not only that, but they will also be offered recognition for talent and Award for the best and team and entrepreneur.

The challenges of Santalucía Impulsa Employees 2024

The participants, divided into three teams and mentored by an innovation specialist and a business consultant, must design a solution, proof of concept or minimum viable product for the challenge posed to them. The challenges faced by the members of the teams this year are closely related to the different axes of the Santalucía's 100+ Strategic Plan:

Opening session of the sixth edition of Santalucía Impulsa Empleados

It was on February 6, at that opening session, that the program was presented to the entrepreneurs, the work methodology, the division by teams and the assignment of challenges.Two participants from the last edition also attended as guests to provide real testimonies of their experience as entrepreneurs. Each of them had the opportunity to explain what their challenge and the solution they proposed consisted of. A clear example for the new members that the program allows the development of real, viable, functional products with a real fit within the company. The participants, employees who belong to different GrupoSantalucía companies, met for the first time and had the first contact with each other. At the same time, they discovered what challenge they were going to have to work on and who their teammates and innovation mentor would be. He was our training provider Javier Larrea, from TeamLabs, who led the activity so that the entrepreneurs could get to know each other. In addition, Javier will be in charge of accompanying the teams for the duration of the program.

First training session of Santalucía Impulsa Empleados

One day after the start of the program, the entrepreneurs attended their first training session. This time it was Lucho Domínguez, expert in Design Thinking, Design Sprint and Prototyping, who introduced them to the first module, “Understand”, through the Design Sprint innovation methodology and proposed some practical activities to them.

From now on, entrepeneurs will have different online training and mentoring sessions every week. These will be held until the date of the grand final, which will be held in May in a hybrid format.
