Santalucía Impulsa Universities chooses Camilo José Cela University for its 2nd edition
Last month of June Santalucía Impulsa, the Santalucía Group's Open Innovation and Entrepreneurship ecosystem, launched the 2nd edition of its Santalucía Impulsa Universities program. After the enrollment process, the Camilo José Cela University has been the selected one.
What does the 2nd edition of Santalucía Impulsa Universities consist of?
Santalucía Promotes Universities is a program aimed at all those training centers that offer courses or master's degrees in the field of Transformation, Entrepreneurship or Innovation. In this second edition, they have been presented 7 Spanish universities with specific training in entrepreneurship and innovation.After having reviewed and evaluated each application, the Camilo José Cela University. 12 students in the 2nd and 3rd year of the Degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Management they will face the Innovation challenges proposed by Santalucía and will receive mentoring and training from the Santalucía Corporate Innovation team.
The start of the 2nd edition of the Santalucía Impulsa Universities program
Once the winner has been announced, Santalucía Impulsa together with the Campus Santalucía ecosystem inaugurated on Thursday, October 13 at the LAB, the Open Innovation Center, the 2nd edition of its program for universities with the 12 UCJC students as guests. During the presentation of this new edition, Ángel Uzquiza, Director of Innovation at Grupo Santalucía, explained to the students what the Corporate Innovation Plan and the incubation program that they will experience from October to February 2023, divided into 3 groups, consist of.
In this regard, Ángel emphasized that:”From Santalucía we are interested in the young and digital talent as a complement to innovation projects, because young people provide a different and novel vision regarding future and current customers, technologies and new experiences in insurance”.
The challenges proposed for the 2nd edition of Santalucía Impulsa Universities
The 12 students were divided into 3 teams on the opening day, and each of them was assigned an innovation challenge that must evolve to achieve a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). These are the 3 challenges that each team will face:
- Design a new value proposition based on improvement of the financial education of society.
- Design a new value proposition for Connecting the Senior segment and young people.
- Design a new value proposition focused on all needs for different members of the family.
Students will receive weekly mentoring and specific training about their projects by the Santalucía innovation team and the Camilo José Cela University itself. And finally, their creations will be presented to the management of the Santalucía Group in February. They will come out of that final 2 groups that will evolve and test their project within the company until the month of October.
