Many experts say that the Artificial Intelligence It's the most important technological revolution since computer science itself was created. It is said that AI will change absolutely everything, although there is really no certainty about when or how it will happen.

To shed light on the concept, we could define the Artificial Intelligence such as the capacity of machines to emulate the human intellect, learning from the data it interprets and carrying out operations on its own thanks to the knowledge it acquires.

Artificial Intelligence today

If just a few decades ago we related the concept of Artificial Intelligence to something very remote and more typical of a futuristic film, the truth is that, today, reality will surpass or, at least, equal fiction. And the thing is that, although AI is already a reality, its repercussions have only just begun and its effects on society are already being seen.

On the one hand, it underlines the importance and value that this technology is providing and will bring in terms of process efficiency, and that is that, among many things, AI today can process and interpret data with speed and efficiency which today would be impossible for human beings to replicate, and their work has become essential in the current social and business context.

On the other hand, we cannot forget that a part of society is showing a great concerns and fears derived from the development and implementation of this technology, of its impact on the protection of personal data and privacy and to what extent is it ethical for the development of this technology to replace certain human activities.

Some innovation and business gurus like Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and Space X or, even Bill Gates, founder of Microsfot, have expressed concern about the possible apocalyptic outcome that Artificial Intelligence can bring about in a future society.

Where is Artificial Intelligence going?

What is clear is that Artificial Intelligence is already with us, and its growth prospects are enormous. In fact, according to an IDC study, the global spending on AI systems will increase from 85.3 billion dollars in 2021 to more than 204 billion in 2025.

But what influence will it really have? How does it work and how far can it go? How is it going to impact businesses and people? To answer these questions and many others, we have as guests today at Santalucía Impulsa Podcast to two experts in the field with whom we will talk about state of the art of AI and its application to the business world.
