What is creativity and how is it related to innovation?
Pero What is creativity? Creativity could be defined as the ability or capacity that every human being has to arrive obtain new associations between ideas that already exist. And we say every human being because all people have that capacity.
However, like many other capacities, creativity must be trained to achieve a greater number of associations in less time. In addition, these creative processes will be more successful if they have the advantage of being collaborative and carried out between several people with different points of view.
On the other hand, there is a common propensity to confuse the concept of creativity with that of innovation, and although innovation is based on problem solving and uses creative ideas for this purpose, it goes further. Innovation seeks to solve a need, provide a solution and that it generates Wealth over time. And this is fundamental in a society in constant change such as ours. In fact, those companies that are aware of this in anticipation in terms of innovation, will be successful.
